Layer up, its Summer...

Despite June fast approaching (not fast enough!) I still managed to get hailed upon and whilst cursing the sky I realised, you really can't dress for Summer in the UK. My feet were wet, hands cold and sanity questionable as in a passer-by's eye's, I was shouting at a pigeon hovering above. The solution, dress for Summer, layer up and stick it to the man - Mother Nature.

I've posted a collection of items mostly from Woodhouse, a great online store which offers a wide range of brands. I've gone for a cold monochrome look from Blood brothers, Diesel, Barbour and Nudie, which I think is completed well by dark brown Hudson boots and a white/gold Diesel watch.

Barbour jacket
Nudie jeans

Following the cold blue colour scheme, try a pair of 'Dirty Punt' C-IN2 boxers, ironically from Freshpair.com, which will hopefully be clean when you receive them. I'm a big fan of this brand as I think they're excellent quality and a good alternative to CK or H&M, though David Beckhams range is great.

If like me you're not rolling in bank notes then I'd recommend the jumper.

Happy Thursday readers.

And enjoy the Hangover 3 or BGT on ITV tonight!

Hot Fuss, over denim

The Killers are possibly my favourite band ever. I've been listening to them constantly whilst revising for my exams and just can't get enough. Furthermore, The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers is probably the best dressed rock artist on the planet, and was included in GQ's most stylish top 50 list.

Here's the great man sporting a more casual look with a clean denim jacket looking as cool as ever. Well, there's only one way to look more alternative than a rock artist in denim - pull the sleeves off. And you're in luck chaps, because Antony Morato and True Religion have done the pulling/cutting for you bringing you a little bit closer to Flower's look.

The True Religion jacket is currently on sale, so you'll need to hurry if you want to wear it to your next gig ...

To finish, a great song from their most recent album, Battleborn.

Revision fashion

So I'm having a quick break from revision and treating myself to an episode of Made in Chelsea whilst I write this post. Typing rapidly before my brain is slowly numbed from the mindless tosh (as posh people say) , before everything I write ceases to be coherent (again, posh people talk). I'm wearing a shirt from COW,  Tee-shirt from Zara basics, Vans shoes, Topman jeans and H&M belt.

I've posted a look featuring a must for all male dressers - a decent brown leather belt, which can be worn everyday. Following with Zara basics, I've posted a link to a plain jumper which is one of many great additions to the their collection. Furthermore, for all you 'watch wearers' I've posted a link to another gold Nixon watch which is a versatile and in my opinion, a great addition to your wardrobe.

And finally, my housemate has been begging me recently to feature in my blog so here she is...wearing the best parts of a ninja costume with a large clutch/Toshiba laptop and a great gold Casio watch. A Product design student from Reading, an okay guitarist and avid Dr Who follower. Visit her Tumblr to find out more.

Emmelie de Forest, Only Teardrops...and millions of Euros

Congrats Emmelie, you definitely gave the winning performance and I can't get that bloody song out of my head! You may have forgotten to put on your shoes, brush your hair and basically got in the way of all of your musicians but you still took the Eurovision crown and dashed Bonnie's dreams before our eyes (what was she thinking?). Another country worth mentioning is Italy, who may not have come close to outshining Denmark with vocal cords but definitely won the 'Eurovision best dressed' award. The lastest passenger on the ‘Blue Tuxedo Band Wagon’ is none other than Marco Mangoni, who wore a  Salvatore Ferragamo suit for the show, but normally wears H&M and Zara when he's not performing (he should probably follow this blog if he doesn't already...).

On board he rubbed velvet clad shoulders with the notorious cereal-hater Ryan Gosling and the not-so-Misérable-looking Eddie Redmayne.
Both Mangoni’s and Goslings tuxedos are by Salvatore Ferragamo and chances are we’re not going to buying one for ourselves just yet. Untill the day we reach international fame/make it big as a drug lord in Columbia so how about this tasty little number...

Men's suit £99 and Fancy man bags

A very dapper guy I think you'll agree, so just follow the links and make a bolognese to be just like him.
I've posted a link to a suit of a similar style to Marco's from Next, who do suits well (but not really anything else). I've also posted a link to Salvatore Ferragamo's online store, you may need to take out a loan to shop there.
